Who, What, when and where was "The Black Plague/Death"?

The Black Plague (or also known as the Black Death), was the name given to a disease that was known as the bubonic plague. It was active during the 14th Century. The bubonic plague affected England more than once in that particular century. The Black Plague was said to have been associated with rats that carried fleas. The fleas then bit into their victims and injected them with the disease. Death was quicker for those victims that were weaker.

The plague happened from 1348-1351 killing nearly 25-60% of Europeans. It began in Sicily and spread as far as Sweden.  It was a solemn time in Europe, where bodies just lay about in the street, left to rot. Others that were not affected by the plague shut themselves up and hid themselves from the outside world.
